乌龟用英语咋说
Tortoise ，其英式发音为 [ˈtɔ:təs] ，美式发音为 [ˈtɔ:rtəs] ，在中文里，意思是乌龟，也可用来比喻行动较为迟缓的人或物。
正如在汉语中会用蜗牛来指代行动缓慢的人一样。在英文中，对于 tortoise 的解释为：a reptile with a hard round shell, that lives on land and moves very slowly. It can pull its head and legs into its shell. 也就是“一种长着坚硬圆形外壳的爬行动物。这种动物在陆地上行动缓慢。能够将头和四肢缩进壳内。”
