In 2013, CCTV 315 once again revealed that the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine had asked Volkswagen to confirm its recall plan. The reason for the recall is that power output may be interrupted due to an electronic failure of the electromechanical device in the gearbox or a lack of oil pressure, which may pose a safety risk. The recalled vehicles will be replaced with improved transmission electromechanical units, and control software will be upgraded free of charge to eliminate hidden hazards.
